DOTHAN, Ala. – The Bellarmine men's golf team heads to Alabama for the second time this year, this time to match up with their Atlantic Conference counterparts in the ASUN Championship.
 
Starting for Bellarmine will be Luke Bischoff, Frankie Morgan, Kash Albarado, Brooks Korfhage and August Johnson. Hudson Hummel will serve as a substitute.
 
This year's event will take place at Highland Oaks on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. The players will play two separate nine-hole courses, the Highlands and the Marshwood. According to the RTJ Golf Trail website, "The Highlands course is the core nine at Highland Oaks and is relatively open with several lakes in play on four of the nine holes, including a peninsula green." Additionally, "The Marshwood has been made famous (or notorious) by its behemoth par-five sixth, which stretches to 701 yards from the tips."
 
Joining Bellarmine will be the 11 ASUN foes: Austin Peay, Central Arkansas, Eastern Kentucky, Florida Gulf Cost, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, North Alabama, North Florida, Queens and Stetson. The teams will play three rounds.
 
This year's ASUN Championship will be the fourth in which the Knights have participated.
 
Live scoring will be provided by Golfstat.
 
The Knights placed sixth out of 11 their last time out at the Wright State Invitational at Heatherwoode Golf Club in Springboro, Ohio. Bischoff finished the three-round event at even par, good for ninth place overall.
